Conceived of in 1952, Angelica is one of several ambitious projects which Oliveira hadn’t be able made because of the strict censorship of the Salazar regime in power at the time in Portugal. Oliveira has decided to bring out the previously unpublished screenplay of this film which has always been close to his heart and which he finally will shooted in 2010 under the title The Strange Case of Angelica.
